I can feel that this city is burning and crumbling down, And it’s bleeding us dry with so much left unspoken,

In life’s pinball machine, we are rattled and tossed around, Knock it down, beat it sound, then complain that it’s broken,

I was born on these rough and crowded streets, It’s not the same now ‘cause I want to be free,

Up all night ‘cause I can hardly sleep at all, But I don’t wanna talk about it,

I can’t be what I have never believed in, I only know that I can cling to this hope and maybe,

We can find a way out of this broken dream, Because we got to be free,
