Love exists, love exists. You chose correctly. It was then about keeping it, developing and making it concrete. Soon, love became solid shapes, colours, and textures.
Then soon enough, the wall you helped build together crumbled at a moments notice, crumbled into the finest of powders, beyond grasp for you weren’t careful. You gave up on the home fires and went seeking fireworks.
So, what were you after? Only you will ever know.
Look up, your heart floats away through the grey skies, the rain showering you with its memories soaking through to the soles.
Is it, is it too late? You run, run the alleyways, streets, and fields to feel love again, to hear love again! You can make it, it can be real again!
But the house where your love lived has a new door, and holding the new key is the new love, being greeted by that old familiar face, a new stranger to your new world. It all goes by in a flash, all those times and all those years. Flashes of fire that will reignite another day, another place.
Memories will stay with you so you don’t have go through the pain again when you call out that new name, that new love.
Best to have than to have not, cherish what you have got. Best to leave the abstract to the art world and keep love in your world. We are all better for it.
