Forgotten Wastelands by LeFanu
I’ve never done any ambient music. Or something that I consider ambient. These tracks are full of simple noises and weird sounds. There is scarcity of melodies. It was supposed to be minimalistic, and I wanted to use some sounds and noises I would never consider musical in the past. The whole point was to create an atmosphere and imagination of a wasteland world. I hope I achieved that. The eeriness is supposed to be felt.
This is a concept album. As with many like that, there was some nuclear war, world is in ruin and all the typical. These tracks describe this darkness, this gloomy and mournful dead world. There is however something else. Something is lurking there. There is something hidden…
The inversion is the side effect of a massive scale that has an inexplicable impact on everything. It’s the result of playing with science in a wrong and evil way. It’s the price to pay.
