essentialmiks – це музичний псевдонім одеського артиста Максима Пономаренка. Його звучання глибоке і легке, химерне та зграбне, продумане й обвітрене; це захмарений простір наповнений привидами й примарами, де кожне явище триває стільки часу, скільки воно хоче. До цього треки Максима можна було почути в благодійних збірках: “VA. NOTATOK 1”, “Operation Perevtilennya”, та “Ukrainian Field Notes VA”.
“Альбом “Pryvydy” створювався впродовж останніх двох років і ввібрав у себе контроверсійні настрої з котрими довелося стикатися за цей час. Найбільше на вайб альбому вплинули блекаути, котрі обрушували місто у таємничу, постапокаліптичну атмосферу та на деякий час трохи перетворили квартири в такі собі печери,” - Максим.

essentialmiks is an alias of Odesa-based artist and musician Maksym Ponomarenko. His sound is deep and light, whimsical and graceful, thoughtful and weathered; it is a clouded space filled with ghosts and spooks, where every phenomenon lasts as long as it wants. Before that, Maksym's tracks could be heard in the charity collections: “VA. NOTATOK 1”, “Operation Perevtilennya”, and “Ukrainian Field Notes VA”.
“The album “Pryvydy” was created over the past two years and absorbed the controversial moods that I had to deal with during this time. The vibe of the album was most influenced by the blackouts*, which plunged the city into a mysterious, post-apocalyptic atmosphere and for a while turned apartments into caves of sorts.”
* The blackouts were caused by russia's bombing of Ukraine's energy infrastructure, which is still ongoing, – Liky Pid Nohamy.

The authors of the drawings are Tymur Sai and an unknown girl who sold them (ghosts) to passersby in order to get food for street cats, of which there are many in Odesa.
