I’m beyond happy to work with Dave Doyen (of Vales, 2:00AM Tapes, etc. fame) to drop another collection of beautiful tracks via his Sound Out Light moniker. Fresh off of a stunning split with Shingles on Oxtail Recordings, this C53 is as lush and hypnotizing as magnetically possible. Doyen creates thick, three dimensional slabs of modular synth that ride high atop pulsating rhythms and shimmering atmospherics. Each side builds up with a patience and subtle shifting of form that’s truly remarkable. Currents is an intricate and special journey, and a 100% certified compulsive side-flipper. Edition of 50 home-dubbed Type II/Chrome cassettes with full-color, double-sided artwork.
