Enemy Eater by Columba Fasciata

Columba Fasciata is the project of Whitney Allen and Nick Hagen (also members of the fantastic Chicago band, Toupée). They create airy, thoughtfully minimal songs in a dark city basement. Allen's haunting vocals deftly hover over the delicate guitar lines that are the melodic center of the record. Staggered drum machine rhythms and bits of tape loops fill out the sound and lend to all of the songs a strangeness that contrasts wonderfully with the dreamy pop atmosphere throughout. Screen printed, double-sided artwork and a pro-dubbed and imprinted cassette. Edition of 75.
