Lillerne was lucky enough to have released Final POV’s debut, Tender Feeling Night Sky, a little over a year ago. Now into the early swing of 2015, UON comes into existence to further build onto and delve deeper into the engrossing world of one of my favorite Chicago basement dwellers. Utilizing a larger palette of sample sources, frequencies and rhythms, UON is effortlessly captivating with its use of space and friction between its many layers. Deep and vivid drones climb over and under squalls of static and phased out rhythms, all while maintaining a consistent mood of uneasy catharsis. An original and truly beautiful zoner, this tape is in an edition of 50 Chrome/Type II cassettes with full color, double-sided artwork.
