ATEN is a collaborative project spearheaded by Sydney, Australia musician Brad Hayne (Cell Temple, Lint Music.)
The self titled album presents a broad spectrum of heavy and experimental music that aims to break the standard interpretations of how songs should be structured, begin, build, and end.
Inspired by left-field sub-genres such as New Orleans-style Sludge, Grindcore and Post Metal, Aten was pieced together using contributions from a wide variety of musicians; with the end result being a distorted, frequency soaked, chisel-carved stone tablet documenting Brad's influences at the time of making it.
