Latakia by Rove Monteux

Extended version of Latakia, released as a Single of Rove Monteux's album Mare Magnum on the 17th of October 2022.

Mare Magnum is the sixth album from Rove Monteux, accompanying his seven singles, in his solo career into Classical, Cinematic, Drama and Neoclassical music.

Mare Magnum means “Mediterranean Sea” in Latin, and is the theme of the album, passing through some its most important cities across its rich history, Matala (Greece), Anamur (Turkey), Latakia (Syria), Sirte (Libya), Monastir (Tunisia), Valentia (today Valencia, Spain) and Melilla (Spain).

The cover is a the portrait of its Orthodox, Catholic and Islamic history, and a metaphor of the old and the new, with the same Mediterranean woman in two different phases of her life.
