Obitum Cruciatissimum (“A Very Tormented Death” in Latin) is the nineteenth single from Rove Monteux, accompanying his thirteen albums, in his solo career into Classical, Cinematic, Drama, Neobaroque and Neoclassical music.
The single is a complete piece inverting the classic funus duceretur theme Obitum Placidissimum (“A Very Peaceful Death” in Latin) to Obitum Cruciatissimum (“A Very Tormented Death” in Latin), as in the theme in the invitations for the Christian funeral traditions, all the way up to the 1700’s.
