Living3000 marks the first release from a series of recordings made in London’s cult heart, Total Refreshment Centre, and mixed & co-produced by Danalogue of The Comet is Coming. Written entirely on Garageband by trombonist/synth player Jack during a year hiatus from the band in Paris, the single is an answer to the question: can we take robot music, and play it live?
Informant is a collage, made up of highly compressed atmospheres including multiple Church spaces, a local car wash & tape manipulated synthesis.
Time Cow and Bobby Blackbird of Equiknoxx Music strip “Living3000” right back to its bare bones before applying their trademark bottom heavy remix treatment, resulting in an avalanche of tight drum hits, cavernous cymbals and the manic whirl of a reversed synthesizer.
The three tracks in sequence reveal a meditation on the future: as years to come bend the reality of this present moment, sonic environments can be constructed to dramatically alter the brain’s experience of an ever more malleable, melting world.
