knocked out again
by an overweight pen
and it's getting old

it's time
to take what's mine
and dip it in gold

nothing is right
but still i can write
some words that i know

be a star
the fall won't be far
if i put on a show

everything stays

away in good time

the shadows will run
away with the sun
when everything's fine

sat up in bed
with lines in my head
i'll get them all out

read them back
with a panic attack
and shadows of doubt

who understands
the pain of the plan
or the folly of words

it's a road
that's littered with prose
and stories you've heard
