Wahn is a French electronic music producer crafting immersive soundscapes that bridge ambient, IDM, and techno. After a long hiatus, he re-emerged with the Drifted series - an exploration of rhythmless, bass-driven atmospheres where despair and fleeting hope intertwine. Released on After Affects and Mahorka in 2024, Drifted Vol. 1 and Drifted Vol. 2 weave lush, slow-motion textures with weighty sub-bass, grainy crackles, and cinematic undertones, inviting listeners into deep, introspective journeys.
Expanding his sonic palette, Wahn now steps into more rhythmic territories with Black Sea, a four-track EP that blends hypnotic techno pulses with the dark, textured depth reminiscent of his ambient work. This EP marks a shift while maintaining the deep atmospheres and tactile sound design at the core of his artistry. Layers of grainy atmospheres and heavy bass carve out a hypnotic, shadowed landscape where movement and introspection coexist.
Dark and enveloping, Black Sea channels an undercurrent of tension and fluidity - like a vast, shifting body of water. The rhythmic foundation propels the listener forward, yet the deep, cinematic textures pull them into an introspective descent.
