"The most important thing of course is the almighty riff. When I listen to SARBERUS, I conjure up images and mental paintings in vivid, explosive brushstrokes of mayhemic kaiju tearing sinew and rending flesh from each others' bones, trampling city streets, and causing wanton destruction in an all-out battle royale fit for the silver screen. These riffs are gargantuan, lumbering, prehistoric behemoths lost to time and reality, but Maliciouz has done us the favor of digging up the time capsule containing them and doses them with the full weight and essence of a collapsing star. All that pretty shit is to say this album is heavy. It's really. fucking. heavy. And you need to hear it yesterday."

His latest offering, SARBERUS, is low, slow, and heavy as fuck — just what you’d expect from the land of big rocks and slow time. These instrumental tracks hit like a Joshua Tree to the face. Maliciouz offers up Funeral Sludge that’s been rubbed in creosote and blistered in the sun. If you like Metal with extra frills, then look elsewhere. These songs are boiled down to their essential essence and delivered at a creeping pace. Sit back, crank the volume, and become one with the Mojave."

"Maliciouz plays music inspired by the likes of BONGRIPPER and Electric Wizard with a slow-paced foreboding GLOOM & DOOM sound can be wholly melodic and emotionally draining at times. The record does have a certain LO-FI energy appearing within the production values which gives SARBARUS a slight sleazy grindhouse feel which should resonate with the underground DOOM METAL community but everything still sounds incredibly LOUD and highly polished at the same time. This is a superb record from the underground scene and I can't recommend this highly enough."
