'Mist' is a classical electronica exercise. The way of combining an acoustic element like a felt-piano with electronic instruments has always intrigued me. It all starts with the Moog laying down a modulated drone. A nice mysterious bed for the piano to rest on. The felt piano is then further accentuated with an MS-20 synthesizer. Either by harmonizing a part, or playing a question/answer pattern.
All this makes you drift away to a large field in the early morning. The sun is just coming up and the first light beams of the day play with the moisture particles in the mist. This moment lasts only for a short time as the sun warms the air the moisture in the air vaporizes and the mist clears.
