Yotopia by Fashion Victimz
Fashion Victimz are a duo from Tel Aviv, Israel, that consists of Mark Finkel, one of the cities' best known DJ's and resident of the legendary The Cat & The Dog club and Viki Makrianis, DJ & producer, model, and an allround creative presence in Tel Aviv's thriving musical scene.
From the minute Mark and Viki met back in 2015 when Viki Makrianis was booked at The Cat & The Dog club, the similarities and musical compatibility was very obvious and they started experimenting in the studio together, combining their talent and passion for finely produced electronic music. Together they bring a fresh and groovy combination of deep & tech house with a sound that melts modern vibes with an old school sound & basic approach that harks back to classic piano house, and beyond.
'Yotopia' is their official debut release. A deep percussive underground tune with a highly haunting and infectious vocal. Stomp your feet! Remixes come from fellow Israeli Eli Nissan who you might know from releases on Plattenbank, Alola, Movement and Stripped, and from our German friend Amanic who has released on MNL before but is also signed to the mighty fine Einmusika label.
