Formed in 2011 through a collaboration between Brazilian and Canadian musicians, Mariá plays forró pé de serra mixed with influences ranging from blues to arabesque. Led by the dynamic Jerusa Leão, with rabeca, zabumba, accordion, triangle, and chorus, they play original compositions and interpret the greats of classical forró.
