Amame by Mari Boine & Bugge Wesseltoft

Following up the steps of “Eight Seasons”, a collaboration with the great jazz musician Bugge Wesseltoft in 2002, Mari and Bugge team up again to release a new record on ByNorse Music. “Amame” is not a collaboration with the electronica guru Bugge, but with the piano player, the acoustic Bugge.

Together, they create a meditative, open soundscape you can breathe and rest in. It is both insistent and hypnotizing. Mari is so close that it feels like being in her home with a friend playing an exquisite piano that just happens to be part of the furniture.
