Shapeshifter 1 by Marie Phelan

This digital audio artwork was played through speakers embedded within sculptures in Shapeshifter1 the installation. The aduio was built from field recordings of crows at dusk, recordings of rotational drawings and of breath. It was informed by the Oweynagat Cave in Co. Roscommon, home to the Morrigan, Crow Queen, Battle Queen, Death Queen. Oweynagat is also Ireland's Entrance to the Otherworld.
Shapeshifter1 was part of the Unassembed Exhibition @ The Lab Gallery, Foley St., Dublin 1 in Jan 2020, curated by Julia Moustacchi.
