Peripatetic by Marinos Koutsomichalis

An audio work structured upon unprocessed cityscape recordings, in an attempt to explore the musicality of everyday sounds and ambulatory recording practices. The work features recordings realised in Amsterdam, Athens, Berlin, York, London, Vienna, Brussels, Gent, Antwerp, Liverpool, Leeds and in various means of transportation in and between those cities.

Marinos Koutsomichalis is a media artist, scholar, and creative technologist. He has hitherto publicly presented his work, pursued projects, led workshops, and held talks worldwide more than 250 times and in all sorts of milieux: from leading museums, acclaimed biennales, and concert halls, to industrial sites, churches, project spaces, academic institutions, underground venues, and squats.
