ree Middle Eastern music septet Karkhana weave a tapestry of astonishing contemporary music for Egyptian songstress Nadah El Shazly, following the release of the band’s four previous albums and El Shazly’s internationally-acclaimed debut 'Ahwar' (Nawa, 2017). The three tracks featured on Side AA of this split release were recorded during a residency at Inter Arts Center in Malmö, Sweden, where the band had been working on their forthcoming full-length release. El Shazly joined them as a guest musician during their composition and recording sessions.

Kerbaj is a visual artist and musician from Beirut, living in Berlin.
He is widely considered as one of the initiators and key players of the Lebanese experimental music scene where he co-founded
Irtijal festival and Al Maslakh label.
Kerbaj pushes the boundaries of the trumpet and develops a personal language and innovative techniques. His music is often described as "acoustic electronics".
