You're my one and only caretaker
Island side we both hide in the sand
Each our own we hide on different ends
Eyes that refuse to acknowledge their sight

I'll hold these logs that burn my hands away
To build a raft to avoid these flames
Drift out to see our island burn away
Watch as it burns bright just like the sun

The fires you start
Can only burn more away

The raft I build beaches on these new lands
Take mental note of the forgien wildlife
The doves see me with scars on my hands
Perch on fingers to clean out my wounds

Watch from far the island still burns away
Letting the flames light up the night sky
I kick my raft back into the sea
Stand and watch as it falls apart and sinks
