Innerfocus by Memory Scale

The track Innerfocus was originally composed for a video installation called "The Ocean, the Forest and the Moon / Sensory Waves". The video represents a place where I usually spend time in summer, located on the edge of the forest, just a few kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean. From this particular place emanates palpable vibrations, even more at night when the influence of the moon is added.

From this fixed shot video that inspires meditation, I wanted to create a soundtrack that was deliberately inspired by the audio cassettes belonging to my mother (she's a yoga teacher) in the 80s, whose synthetic and terribly new-age sounds accompanied my childhood.

The other songs are influenced by the strange dreams that only happen to me in this place because of - or thanks to - the ocean, the forest and the moon. Musical compositions, long, stretched, generative, dark or melancholy.

A cinematographic universe based on sound textures and synthetic melodies, Memory Scale mixes electronica and ambient to create a hybrid and contemplative pop.
