Welcome to the world of Myoptik’s new album Gofunga!

This is an album fashioned out of rocks, minerals, horns, leathers, liquids, re-fragmented jams, suction waves, spelt words, warlords, vegetarian lamb briskets, lazers, leaves, rods, ripples, blocked drains, elephantisus, strutting stutters, unwound tape, dyed cloth, ironed hair and textural everythings.

It grew gradually, overnight in a patient, hidden cave-space over the course of many relations across a string of weak ends spanning about many years, some months, with tons and tons of hours, passing sweet sweat, toil, joy, jumping and wonder through a fog of pure clarity. For some of it there was that instantaneous deliberation after the initial guffaw, whilst in other parts there was a delving into the depths of mind muck to bring out the gestational majesty within. Absolutely buckets of love helped fuse disparate ingredients into festering, juicy, expressivity, all in order to bring out in all of us an unerring sensation that, without any misgivings, as many of us as possible ought to don rather stupendous regalia and step across the threshold to…
