Deep Froth by Milk St. Peter & the Unknown Knowns

After a LARP-related dispute in the back of an underground comic book store, John Zorn's crew and the boys from Shellac got into the most embarrassing slap-fight in the history of nerdom. The whole thing was caught on a Go Pro by Trey Spruance of the Secret Chiefs, which seemed funnier at the time than in retrospect. Years later, all parties reconvened---apologies made over Cheetos and Mr. Pibb (excuse me: Pibb Xtra)---and as a bridge-building trust exercise, used the video documentation as a framework from which to score their single worst collaborative project to date. In a final act of shame, Steve Albini mixed the whole record down to an 8-bit mp3, punched himself in the dick, and wrote some more songs about his ex-wife. All other players turned to ash.

This, mercifully, never happened. But if it had, it might've sounded like a far superior rendition of DEEP FROTH. Fifteen attempts at (mostly) non-verbal communication---zinc factories devouring high school jazz bands and punk riffs headbutting brick walls on repeat---in order to cope with, understand, and/or deny the absolute political shit show into which our society has devolved.

Make no mistake. Our nation is being led by a rapist. He probably wants to hump his daughter. None of us are safe. These songs won't make any of that feel better.
