Inner time, here awoke

Amongst green-filtered light;

Stillness, quietude -

Soft tendrils trail, slow

Gliding across

The tether fixed and sure;

Sing we us into existence

This only now is here



Roots creak into dirt

Gripping tight beneath thistle shadows;

A glimpse brush further

Recalls the white granule, the

Finger pile, the matted grown stone;

Firm, ground hard

Between pestle

And anvil –

Imperative, the pattern insists

Deliver or wilt and rot



Flooding warm, green-filtered light

Returns the gentle present;

Tendrils weaving

Outstretched to catch

Soft tangle, brief electric,

The central tether -

And sing we, this only now
