Lyrics

Frogs in the hem of
The raised bed garden all caught in the chicken wire
And if you think it’s just the saddest thing
Well wait for the other plagues
They’ll give you something to cry for
All I know now it’s sugar water
In the infinite syringe
I keep checking the mirrors to see
If I have become a vampire
But all I get
Are sunken eyes and chapped lips
Growing older over and over
Night light a deadbolt through the day
Now the tribunal says that you won’t stay
So death by fleas
Death by a thousand overdraft fees
That you’ll pay in full
God at the bonfire
Look in the flames and you’ll notice that he’s seated across
Sipping Old Grand Dad mixed with Seagrams
In a letterman jacket
With his legs crossed
I guess he is one of us
Well he’s all around here anyway
Every inch on the inside and the out
There’s no escape and I’m so afraid of
Not being devout
Enough to earn my place in the kingdom of heaven
Night light a deadbolt through the day
The jury came back and they agree that you can’t stay
Though you always wanted to go first
Canary in the mariana trench
I’ve buried all my hatchets with my tire iron clenched
Because you never know
So death by worms
Death by a thousand cigarette burns
On your legs and arms
Right through you heart
And lungs
Of course
