didn’t leave my bed today
i wanted to but i couldn’t not stay
sometimes i wonder if i’m even awake
if all i do is try not to die

was supposed to see my friend today but
bailed per usual what can i say
the black hole was calling my name

would trade my life just to lie in bed
and sleep away the time until i’m dead
left the black hole and i went outside
saw the whole world through a set of new eyes
met up with my friends yeah it felt pretty nice
wondered if life looked like this the whole time
started to get dizzy, it started to get cold
turned back around and started heading home
back to the black hole i accepted defeat
said i’ll try again tomorrow and i fell fast asleep
