Written between 2007 and 2011, the collection of songs on 'Latitude' takes higher ground not only on the depth of its storytelling-- mined in five different countries-- and Finlay's bonafide arrival as a singer-songwriter, but also on the strength of the performances, from guitarist Dean Drouillard (Sarah Harmer, Royal Wood), cellist Mike Olsen (Arcade Fire, Hidden Cameras), bassist Marlow Holder (Kinnie Starr, Zubot & Dawson), drummer Brendan Hamley (David Celia), accordionist Katheryn Petersen and guitarist Jake Roeder.
