Cadence by DJ 3000

Motech Records founder and techno veteran DJ 3000’s last label release seems a distant memory.

Finally we see new material surface, and fans of 3000’s individual craft of Detroit techno won’t stand disappointed. ‘Cadence EP’ RMT 148S features three intelligent tracks, opening with title track ‘Cadence’ delivering the stomping signature sound of 3000. Track two ‘Lessgo’ leads with retro sawtooth synth leads layered with menacing arpeggiators encapsulate the classic DJ 3000 Detroit techno energy dating back to 1996.

The final track ‘Drop it’ takes a more raw, stripped back approach and further demonstrates 3000’s masterful creativity.
