A re-interpretation of Moby's "long ambients1: calm. sleep." released in March of 2016 to the world for free, to do what they want with. He provided about 4 hours in total of music in this release, and I am planning on doing several re-interpretations of them, this being the first. All source material used is from this album.
In the words of Moby "it’s really quiet: no drums, no vocals, just very slow calm pretty chords and sounds and things for sleeping and yoga and etc. and feel free to share it or give it away or whatever, it’s not protected or anything, or at least it shouldn’t be."
To get and to listen to the original source material, visit http://moby.com/la1/
This, just like the source material, is also free to do what you want with it.
My ambient style is one of soundscapes, layered background textures, mixed with nature and an occasional drum loop here and there, ranging from very minimal long-form ambient pieces, to more beat-filled ambient house. It is background music. Music for listening to while working, hanging out, or calling it a night.
