Jontue Remix by Nat Saturn

One night while producer Nato was surfing online, he saw a 40 second video of his friend Jontue playing piano and comping some chords and singing, explaining that she was working on a new song. Nato had this crazy idea to try to finish Jontue's song before she did. Looking for a place to start, Nato has just finished a session working with Edward Bear. Nato took the drums from that session as a starting point and chopped up samples from Jontue's video and sketched out a song vibe. He sent it to Nat and Nat wrote the raps and hype vocals. The song was sent to Nato's best friend in England, Kevin Swartwood. He was excited about it and he and his friend Jeremy White added another 25 layers of synths and guitars to the track and sent it back. At this point the track was made of 75 layers. Nat and Nato showed the song to Jontue and she was blown away at the interpretation and augmentation of her song idea. Naturally it only seemed fitting that Jontue write a chorus and add some vocal textures to the song. All in all, the song, finished out at 91 tracks. When Nat and Nato reviewed the song, it was determined there was a little clash of the vocals on the bridge section between Nat and Jontue. Nato went to Nashville to seek the help of producer Lij Shaw to learn the art of how to mix duets and clashing male and female vocals. Lij helped push the song a step forward and helped solve the clash. The song wrapped up with version 19. The song evolved over its 2 year creation. It truly represents what KatoOnTheTrack described as Nat Saturn and Nato being in their own lane. The song was written with no pressure to be anything at all. Pure fun at its most innocent.
