Tamba taura by Ilya Semashkevich

The premiere of our first CD, created by our close friend and unique musician, Ilya Semashkevich. His album “Tamba Taura” explores the connection between African dance forms and various styles of electronic music.

Here’s how the Ilya describes his work:
“This album blends African dance styles with modern electronic forms. Written in late summer 2023, it features tracks composed on an old German piano in a Warsaw squat, such as Uroyi and Huroyi. Unfortunately, this instrument was later destroyed by the police. The album also includes Tsika, recorded during a storm — a kind of jam with the rain, where synthesizer sounds merge with the quiet ambiance of a rainy street”.

This is a limited-edition release of only 30 CDs, along with a digital album.
