This song has a chorus that is implied to be neverending. Ideally it would just keep going and going.....like the wheel of time and fortune. The song speeds up gradually in the verses, which conveys a desperation and an inescapable fact of dealing with things that make you want to lose your head, or escape. The choruses on the other hand don't speed up, they remain constant in tempo and feeling...a reassurance that everything will return to balance eventually... yet its an off kilter waltz, a dance. Balance is always a dance teetering on the brink of falling over. this song is another take on our version of folk music. Its lush with acoustic textures and has no electronic manipulation, except for the end when the tremolo autoharp sounds like it's turning into an exploding jet.
