Sunset by Nick Herzing

I challenged myself to make an album in 36 hours. I drew most of my inspiration from 80s horror movie composers like John Carpenter and Richard Band. I also took inspiration from the music duo Clown Core, who create alternative music in short one-minute segments. The compositions are short, but I made sure each one stood on its own and sounded like a real track. Each song was written and composed in notational software and heavily emphasizes digital synthesizers and electronic textures. Hope you enjoy!

Nick Herzing is a bassist and composer from Pennsylvania. He is heavily influenced by psychedelic and experimental artists like Les Claypool, Tom Waits, Frank Zappa, and the Butthole Surfers. He released his debut EP, heavily influenced by John Carpenter, in 2021.
