Physalia - Oniria by Okum

"Oniria" is the debut album by Physalia, a young singer-songwriter and pianist born in 1998 from Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy. The album is a deep dive into the subconscious that guides the listener through a world made of dreams to decipher and relive through sound.

Her music is built on a minimal instrumental setup: an old upright piano, prepared percussion, objects, synthesizers and a strong cinematic approach to sound. With delicate yet powerful intensity, Physalia’s voice narrates vivid and enigmatic dreams, the kind that linger even after waking, like a musical directed by David Lynch, blending songwriting, chamber pop, contemporary music and experimentation, with echoes of Fiona Apple and PJ Harvey’s White Chalk.

"Oniria" is the result of the collaboration with producer Manuel Volpe and percussionist/sound artist Nicholas Remondino (both previously featured on Hrudja by Massimo Silverio).

The album will be released on April 25th via Okum Produzioni (Turin), preceded by the single "Devoured by the Sun"
