LIVE by Old Man Flanagan's Ghost
The world shut down in March 2020. 6 months later in September 2020 the band played for the first time together during a backyard live-stream event that aired on Facebook from the home of Brooke and Steve. It was the five-members and a few socially-distanced neighbours watching from the side-lines. Hearing the audio later, a vision emerged.
Now it's June 2021, and the world is still shut-down. Despite being unable to play again together since this recording, through the incredible talent of our producer friend Brian Fox (Sociable!), that live-streamed event is now a live-CD experience for everyone to enjoy!
Huge thanks to Brain Fox for laying down a live bass track afterwards to accompany us and help balance the project. All other vocals and instruments were recorded live during the stream.
We selected the best 14 tunes from the night, focusing on the covers and classic tunes that we've never put on our other albums but that fans of our live-shows would definitely recognize. As a result, this album provides the sound experience and fun of a LIVE-OMFG show (minus the large deafening crowd).
We are so proud to be able to provide a new-album experience for our fans during these crazy days, and are thrilled that this album will continue to entertain for all-time when the world returns to normal.
