Reverie from Reflections by ORCHA

Reverie is a song about the thoughts of stress and anxiety that constantly race through my head every day, and about how I cope with those negative, irrational thoughts by pushing them down or self-medicating in one way or another. I feel like I look forward to sleeping so much because it’s one of the only true reprieves that I get from the anxious feelings. Sleeping is a beautiful calm state of being (mostly) and I sometimes try to sleep as long as possible to avoid facing reality again. When we sleep, our dreams are an amazing escape from the pressures of everyday life.

"I started ORCHA as a passion project and a test of my skills as a Violinist.Having the limitation of using only Violin forces me to get a lot more creative with how I go about filling out the entire harmonic structure of the song. I take inspiration from the surreal experiences of life, the joy and pain we feel every day in the modern world and I try to convey a sense of fragility in my music."
