The Manacle by Our Thoughts Amounted

As my eyelids slowly creep open
I see nothing but darkness in a cold and damp room
All limbs strapped down
Unable to move in any direction
The sounds of steps and muttering in the foreground are all i can comprehend
No memory of the night before
Panic takes over me
My heart beating into my ribs
Sweat covering my face and running down my chest
As i attempt to scream my mouth is covered
A voice enters my ears alarming me
"You will soon be free from here"
I struggle to break free from my restraints to no avail
Laughter fills the room
"Don't worry child, breath easy"
The feeling of a cold blade grazes my throat
blood running down my chest
as i begin to feel my life fading
Thoughts of loved ones enter my mind
and of things never accomplished

My eyes shut and darkness becomes me
I see my body below me as i float away from it
The void beckons to me
I have joined the afterlife
I am now one with the eternal
