Gateway Static by Paranautica

The final gateway at the galaxy’s outer rim is scarcely attended. It has been known for years to wash by without a single ship passing through. This all changes in a matter of months when a distant conflict threatens to spill through the gate. A decision must be made; keep the gateway open and risk the infection of war, or close off all connection to the outside world and preserve the desert’s delicate peace.

Paranautica is an ambient music project by human being Jess Thorsen.

My aim is to tell as many stories of fictional places as I can.

I make sounds using a combination of field recordings, synthesisers, and acoustic instruments all recorded in my "home studio."

I'm also a digital collagist, and make all the art you see here.

I do not use generative AI tools in any aspect of my work.
