"Ruler" is an album of new wave garage pop forged from the stream of consciousnesses of power duo Alicia J. Rose (vocals, accordion, synth) and drummer Shawna Gore. A deep dive into the inner thoughts of women on the verge, its songs range from political anthems to emotional musings to lush pop fever dreams - all driven by Rose's rich commanding vocals and synth melodies driven by Gore's gorgeously rhythmic drumming.
