Fuego by Patricia López + Trío del Fin del Mundo
Fuego (2024) es el segundo trabajo discográfico de Patricia López, la reconocida saxofonista, flautista, compositora, docente, productora y primera mujer ganadora de los Premios Graffiti a la Música Uruguaya en la categoría Jazz.
Fue en la provincia de Río Negro, en la Patagonia argentina, donde el frío no impidió que el candombe, la chacarera y la zamba se encendieran y se fusionaran con el jazz contemporáneo, de la mano de la agrupación local Trío del Fin del Mundo: Leonardo Álvarez en batería, Jesús Fernández en piano y Andrés Fuhr en contrabajo. Con la participación de Julia Inés Ponce en la voz, Patricia logró reunir al equipo ideal en RAG Estudio (General Roca) y grabar Fuego que ya se encuentra disponible en todas las plataformas digitales.
Se trata de un disco tan libre como estructurado, que parte del género
canción; por momentos visceral, siempre dentro del jazz contemporáneo atravesado por ritmos rioplatenses. Además de exponer sus propias composiciones, Patricia también rinde homenaje en dos temas a sus maestros Ramiro Flores (ARG) y Rich Perry (USA).
La grabación del disco estuvo acompañada por la filmación del proceso y post edición de un mini documental disponible en Youtube.

Fuego (2024) is the second album by Patricia López, the renowned
saxophonist, flutist, composer, teacher, producer, and first woman
winner of the Graffiti Awards for Uruguayan Music in the category
Jazz.
It was in the province of Río Negro, in Argentine Patagonia, where the
cold did not prevent the candombe, the chacarera, and the zamba from
being lit and will merge with contemporary jazz, by the hand of the local
group Trío del fin del mundo: Leonardo Álvarez on drums, Jesús
Fernández on piano and Andrés Fuhr on double bass. With the special
guest by Julia Inés Ponce on voice, Patricia managed to gather the ideal team at RAG Estudio (General Roca) and record Fuego (2024) which is now available on all digital platforms.
It is an album as free as it is structured, based on the genre
song; at times visceral, always within contemporary jazz
crossed by the Río de la Plata rhythms.
In addition to exhibiting her compositions, Patricia also pays tribute in two songs to her teachers Ramiro Flores (ARG) and Rich Perry (USA).
The recording was accompanied by the filming of the process and post
editing of a mini-documentary available on Youtube.
