A disparity through the years previously untold, it's why you blame yourself for what you can't control.
And all this time you spent, on your grieving rituals, for someone you wouldn't miss, if you weren't scared to be alone.

And I've served the sour, before they retreat
And I've loved some so evil they brought me to my knees
And now letting go is my only reprieve,
So I can save my love for someone who returns it.

And I don't want to shoulder a boulder on my shoulders anymore,
And I don't want to feel encumbered by what I don't have anymore,
