When I need some time,
some time just by myself,
I just sit in my own car
And I need no one else
It’s my sanctuary, it’s my friend
It’s a story that will never end
A way out and in my soul
It’s a long way and I thing that I should go
Then I start the engine, take off without direction
I push the gas and take the left-most section
When I need a place,
So badly I can’t wait

All alone on the lonely road
Music blasting through the stereo
Like an old movie scenario

Get, get, get in the car
I’ll go, go, go somewhere far
I’ll drive, drive, drive all night
Faster than a ray of light

Shifting the gears and I think of all the years
Crossroads in life and I think of all the signs
Headlights giving the idea of what’s to come
Backlights leaving a trace but I’ll be gone
Gone for sure and I’m never coming back
If only I could do everything just like that
Choices in life and their consequences… Which way to go
