Iapetus from Sol's Halo by Peter Gagliardi

A marching track that utilises an interplay between "light" and "dark", just like the moon.

Iapetus is locked in synchronous orbit and has a strong contrast in colour between the two hemispheres, and the piece tries to capture that duality. It is also the only large moon that would give a clear view of Saturn's rings, so there is a hint of the ring theme at the beginning (this will show up again later).

Peter Gagliardi has been composing electronic soundtrack music on the side since 2006, heavily influenced by space, science, sci-fi and video games.
