Giotár is primarily tenor guitar with guitar accompaniment by Charlie Branch. There is also a smattering of tenor banjo, bouzouki, mandolin, mandola, uilleann pipes, fiddle, F whistle, and hard shoe dancing scattered throughout the recording. Guest artists include Marla Fibish, Dirk Mewes, Kevin Rumery, Zina Lee, and Brian Lanni.

Pete Strickler and Charlie Branch have been playing together since 2015. Charlie is a former member of The Tea Merchants, who played the Irish festival circuit for many years. Pete is a former member of Down the Back Lane and Maggie's Favourite, as well as being a founder and the music director for Portal Irish Music Week, an annual Irish music camp in Arizona.
