Baiestorf is an experimental artist from Brazil, a forerunner of Brazilian "Shot-On-Video" productions.
He began his experimental production in the 1980s in fanzines. In the 1990s he became known for his sexual and violent films, known in Brazil as "Gorechanchadas". In the 2000s, he began to produce numerous radical experimental videos. He wrote books and now explores unconventional sounds.
