Speaking on the track, Pretty Girl explains:
“Rewind came together a lot more effortlessly than other songs because of its simplicity. I wanted the song to be balanced and controlled, and just revolving around a strong chord progression, tight percussion, and finding a lot of the emotion through the lyrics. I also have been excited to put my voice in the spotlight a bit more and use different parts of my range, so Rewind is more in the mix/head zone than previous songs. It’s a song about the bittersweetness of moving on with your life. And also about seeing the good bits in your memories.”
