Midland by Phillip Wilkerson
“Midland” is an EP with a complete duration of about 27 minutes.
Parts 1 – 4 are very homogeneous. A warm and continuous background-drone, spotted with shimmering high tones, flows through these tracks giving you the feeling of swimming or flying on a soft layer of sound. But every part has still its own special character.
Part 6 is the grounding part. Phillip gives this part a more concrete, tangible feeling by adding a slight melody and some careful beats.
A very relaxing and dreamy work that lets you visualize peaceful and misty landscapes while listening to it.
