Dla mnie ten album jest właśnie o "duchu schodowym", o przemijaniu i o całkiem codziennych sytuacjach, którym muzyka i inne odgłosy często towarzyszą. Czasami są chaotyczne, jak piąta pod rząd wyprawa do sklepu w trakcie remontu, bo znowu coś się skończyło (patrz: CASTORAMA BLUES). Czasami odwrotnie: gdy spokój gości w głowie, a TYMIANEK na talerzu. A może pojawiła się jakaś ciekawa osoba? Na przykład taki STEFAN. Ja osobiście go nie znam, ale równie dobrze mógłbym.

Technicznie:
Ten album dotyczy ulicy Anielewicza w Warszawie. Tam mieszkała moja babcia, Halina. Tam pewnie nie raz słuchała swoich płyt, które później dała mi w prezencie. Z tych płyt pochodzi wiele tekstur, które tu usłyszysz. Dlatego album nazywa się "Anielewicza Sampler".

Is this album about anything? Absolutely.

L'esprit de l'escalier (pronounced /lɛˈspʁi də lɛskaˈlje/, alt. esprit d’escalier, from French, thought, idea, joke on the stairs) - an experience when an extremely brilliant retort (a response to intelligent, funny or offensive remarks or comments) comes to a person's mind too late ("on the stairs", after leaving the place of discussion), when it is already useless, which is usually combined with a feeling of disappointment.

For me, this album is about this "staircase ghost", about passing and about quite everyday situations, that music is a part of oftentimes. Sometimes they are chaotic, like the fifth trip in a row to the store during renovation, because we ran out of something (see: CASTORAMA BLUES). Sometimes it's the other way around: when we find some peace, and some thyme on our plate (see: TYMIANEK). Or maybe we met someone interesting? For example, this Stefan character. I don't know him personally, but I might as well.

Technically:
This album is about Anielewicza Street in Warsaw. That's where my grandmother, Halina, lived. There, she probably played her records, many times. Then she gave them to me as a gift. Many of the textures you'll hear come from these records. That's why the album is called "Anielewicza Sampler".
